David became a member of the SLT youth group in 2002 and has appeared in many youth and adult shows since.
He is the son of Graham Clements and Jenny Clements and brother to Rosie Clements.

- Town Councillor in Rats! (2004) (Bell Theatre)
- Pigsty the Pirate in Dick Whittington & His Cat (2005) (Bell Theatre)
- Bawl in Sleeping Beauty (2006) (Bell Theatre)
- Nazi Guard in Stay With Me (2006) (Prompt Corner)
- Prince Edward in Richard III (2006) (Bell Theatre)
- Tybalt and Presley in Supanova (2007) (Bell Theatre)
- Jamie in Beautiful Thing (2007) (Bell Theatre)
- David subsequently reprised the role of Nazi Guard and also played Joe in the transfer of Stay With Me to Greenwich Playhouse.
