by Miles Malleson based on a short story by Anton Chekhov

Directed by Barry Heselden

Performances: Tue 13th – Sun 18th October 8pm (Sun Mat only 2.30pm) 2020, Old Fire Station

Four friends discuss, given the choice of a long prison sentence or the death penalty, which would they choose. A challenge is laid down - ten years of incarceration and win a fortune or fail and lose your property.

The Bet was our first indoor performance since the start of the Covid-19 "Lockdown". The Thursday performance was streamed live via YouTube, the first SLT production to do so.
