Introduction

Ian has left the priesthood to become a husband, a father and to have a career as a therapist. John is one of his first clients whose wife has been killed in a car accident, and he claims he is receiving visits from her ghost. John, with Ian's help, begins to confront some uncomfortable truths behind his tragic loss. The emotional journey is just beginning, for both of them.

This play charts the parallel trajectories of two men in their struggle to understand what's happening in both their lives. There are many levels to this piece which develops slowly, encouraging the audience to explore their own beliefs as well as those of the characters, as much with what is left unsaid as through McPherson’s carefully chosen words.

It's a haunting story in every sense of the word
