Introduction
The play takes place in the Forest of Dean in 1943. Seven children growing up in wartime are played by adults.

Whist this play's countryside setting could cause problems the cast and staging were top-drawer, combining to make a memorable evening with the sixty minutes passing all too quickly. This was my first visit to the SLT and I shall definitely return. I didn't venture to the bar but this 50 seat venue was very comfortable with excellent air-con.
