Introduction

Had an accident at work? Tripped on a paving slab? Cut yourself shaving? You could be entitled to compensation. Andrew and Barry at Scorpion Claims, Luton’s finest personal injury lawyers, are the men for you. When Kevin, Andrew’s high school nemesis, appears in his office the opportunity for a quick win arises. But just how fast does a lie have to spin before it gets out of control?

Reviews

We've all probably been contacted at some point by a firm of ambulance chasers like Scorpion Claims - and most of us will have had the wit not to get involved. The Same Deep Water as Me explores a few months in the lives and dodgy dealings of solicitor Andrew, a former London high flier, forced to return to Luton in disgrace for undisclosed reasons, and his slightly hapless boss, Barry. A rich cast of characters is extremely well played throughout, and there is lots of lovely detail - Barry's tea pouring is exceptional, for example. Possibly not for those offended by sweary dialogue but otherwise it mixes comedy and a degree of pathos in a satisfying evening.
