Introduction
Polly Churchill ( to 2018) was a playwright and children’s writer, who worked on much loved CBeebies shows such as Teacup Travels for CBeebies (on which she was head writer) and Topsy And Tim. As a playwright Polly was selected for the Royal Court Theatre's writers' programme 2014. Her final play, Aspidistra Resistance, won the SLT New Writing Award mounted as part of the return to the Old Fire Station building in 2018, and was staged posthumously.
