On 9 January 2012, shortly before the final dress rehearsal, smoke was smelt coming from the electrical supply box in the switch room, which was very hot. Electrical arcing had taken place and one of the fuses had welded to the terminal. This photo taken by Graham Clements shows the interior of the box after the EDF electricians had managed to remove the welded on fuse.
