for example to do this in Internet explorer :-

right click the image and choose properties then copy the address that appears

then in your discusion board topic paste it in it'll look like http://everyone.loves/steve.img

then put [img] at the front of it and [/img] at the end so it looks like [img]http://everyone.loves/steve.img[/img]
