All I remember about this play is that it was a parable of married life, enacted by a pair monkeys and a gorilla in two separate cages at the Zoo. All three actors wore bathing suits. I played the gorilla and had to take a quick training course so as to reduce my belly to manageable proportions and build up a couple of muscles. The only other thing I remember is being trundled off the stage on a trolley, along with the monkey's wife - both of us having been shot. A most uncomfortable moment, as the two "corpses" were just thrown onto the trolley anyhow and we had to hold the postitions for what seemed like a week! It was SLTC's entry to the London Drama Festival, so we got to do it again on the University College Theatre's big stage. I don't think we won...Alex Kanarek.
