Introduction

Elegies is a collection of songs and monologues inspired by the AIDS memorial quilt - a memorial to the lives of people who have died of AIDS related causes.

Surprisingly the show is fun and serves as a celebration of the lives of people affected. The subject matter is dark and moving at times, but overall is presented with humour and joy.

Crew

The cast and crew of Elegies would like to thank: Alleyns School and Southern Pride/Ego for generously providing free rehearsal space. Lionel Monks for the use of his splendid instrument. Lian Stephens. The casts and crew of Inheritance, King Lear, Dinner and School for Scandal for sharing our space AND half our actors! All the bar staff (those not in the show) who've kept the bar open during the run. All the unsung heroes of SLT who never get a mention but keep the place ticking over.
