Contents
Introduction
Honour and respect for tradition: two prime requirements for an officer in Victoria's army. Set in India at the end of the last century, the play shows a young subaltern charged with assault. As investigation of the case proceeds, we see that instead it is the regiment that is on trial for conduct.
