Introduction

Arnold Ridley is best known for his portrayal of Private Godfrey the BBC series "Dad's Army", previous to this he played a vicar in "Crossroads" but in his earlier years was a playwright with his best-known work being "The Ghost Train", filmed with Arthur Askey.
